International Judges’ Course for Aerobic Gymnastics

LAUSANNE (SUI), FIG Office, June 3, 2010: From May 15 - 21, 2010, an International Judges’ Course for Aerobic Gymnastics took place at Kiev’s (UKR) National Technical University.

19 judges participated in the course (16 from the Ukraine, 2 from Russia, 1 from Latvia.). The course was well-organised, thanks to Tetyana Pasichna, President of the Ukraine Aerobic Gymnastics Federation; and course leader Svetlana Lukina, member of the Aerobic Gymnastics Technical Committee noted a high level among participants.

The course took place parallel to the Aerobic Gymnastics National Championship. The official Opening Ceremony was held in the presence of Ms Svetlana Lukina and 5-times World Champions Tatiana Soloviova and Vladislav Oskner of Russia. 410 athletes from 13 Ukrainian regions took part in the National Championship.

An increasing number of athletes from the Ukraine have been participating in FIG competitions, and we hope to see more qualified judges hailing from the Ukraine as a result of this course.
