- The deadline to bid for organisation of 2009 World Cup competitions (World Series) in Trampoline, Aerobic and Acrobatic Gymnastics has been pushed back to December 31, 2008;
- The Executive conducted a detailed study of the international economic climate and the consequences on the management of the FIG resources;
- The day prior to the General Assembly, six federations had yet to pay their annual fees;
- As of January 1, 2009, a license will be required for any gymnast wishing to participate in junior or senior competitions;
- Romanian born gymnast Andrea Stefanescu will be competing for Italy in the future in Rhythmic Gymnastics;
- Doping controls carried out in Togliatti (RUS) at the Trampoline World Cup Final came up negative;
- A category A Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup competition has been attributed to Minsk (BLR) for Individuals and Groups, August 21 - 23 - 24, 2009;
- A new legal proceedings will be initiated against Irina Deriuguina (UKR), former member of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee, following repeated violations of the statutes;
- Gymnast Sabrina Hegele (GER) will represent her discipline within the Athletes Commission;
- Henceforth, organisers will be required to make available a defibrillator. Inexpensive and easy to use, the device may save lives.
