Lausanne (SUI), FIG Office, 25 June, 2012: Having tested positive for cannabis during the World Age Group Competitions at Lake Buena Vista (USA) on April 18, 2012, the Canadian gymnast Cory Marsh (18) is the subject of a decision by the FIG Disciplinary Commission.
The Commission decided, on June 21, 2012 to cancel all results obtained by the gymnast and his team in the above mentioned competition. It has also decided to suspend the athlete from all sports for a period of six months, until November 22, 2012. Futhermore part of the costs of procedures, namely USD 1,000, are also to be borne by the gymnast.
The Commission's decision may be appealed to the FIG Appeals Tribunal within 21 days of notification of the decision.
