19th “Stars above the Boug River” International ACRO Tournament

LAUSANNE (SUI), FIG Office, March 10: The Vinnista Association of Sport Acrobatics invited international junior and senior acrobats to participate in the 19th “Stars above the Boug River” tournament, February 24 – 27 in Vinnitsa (UKR).
Out of 13 participating countries, senior gymnasts from Russia, Belgium, Great Britain and host Ukraine were most successful. Russia topped the Men’s Pair and Women’s Group rankings, with an extra Silver in Men’s Group. Both the Belgium Women’s Pair and Mixed Pair won the Gold in their respective categories, while their Women’s Group settled for Bronze. A Gold for Britain’s Men’s Group, Silver for their Mixed Pair, and Bronze for the Men’s Pair. With Silver, the Women’s Group brought Ukraine its best result in Vinnitsa, followed by Bronze winning third places for the Men’s and Women’s Groups and their Mixed Pairs. Also on the podium were Azerbaijan’s Women’s Pair (Silver) and the Men’s Pair of Belarus (Silver).
