Opening address

by Dr Michel Léglise, FIG vice President and President of the FIG Medical Commission.

On behalf of FIG, I first wish to warmly pay tribute to the dynamic sports city of Togliatti, home of many champions. 

Togliatti is the ideal place for all of us to gather after the Beijing Olympic Games and attend this Trampoline and Tumbling World Cup Final.

I also want to sincerely thank all those who contributed to make this organization a great success for their friendly and gracious welcome.

I furthermore would like to express my gratitude towards our friends: the gymnasts.  Your high level of performances, your talent and your sense of fair-play is a real enjoyment for all.

I finally extend a message of trust to all the judges: your proficiency and neutrality will be as always much appreciated and I thank you in advance.
