FIG LICENCE CHECK

The Licence must be presented and checked upon accreditation. Gymnasts who do not present a valid FIG Licence are not allowed to compete.

Should a gymnast not be able to show his/her Licence at accreditation, the Organising Committee may check on the official FIG Website if the respective gymnast has a valid Licence or not.

If this can be verified in due time by the Organising Committee, the gymnast may participate in the competition by paying a fee of CHF 20.- to the Organising Committee.

Should a gymnast present an invalid licence or the validity of the forgotten licence may not be verified by the Organising Committee, the gymnast shall not be allowed to compete.

 FIG LICENCE RULES

At the 2008 Council in Cape Town (RSA), Article 5.1 of the FIG Technical Regulations was extended and the principles of a compulsory License were introduced.

As of 1.1.2009, all the gymnasts, juniors and seniors, in all disciplines (with the exception of GfA), and expected to take part in international competitions will need to own a personal license.

All the licenses are established by the FIG Office on the basis of the information transmitted by the affiliated Federations. The list of information necessary for establishing a license has been transmitted to all the Federations.

This License is considered as a 'gymnastics passport' and is valid for ail the FIG competitions, the competitions organized by the Continental Unions, the international tournaments and the  international events, as well as the competitions organized in the frame of Continental and Regional Games.

In 2009, the license will be requested to participate at the FIG World Championships in Artistic (London) and Trampoline (St Petersburg).
