Elizabeth Tweddle (GBR) Great Britain’s star on Floor and Uneven Bars, Elizabeth Tweddle, just missed the medal ranks at the Beijing Olympic Games as well as the worlds 2007 in Stuttgart, when she finished in fourth place. She came back big winning the European title on both her favourite pieces. However, today her hopes of winning a medal on Uneven Bars in front of her home crowd were dashed, when she fell of the apparatus during Qualification and did not make it to the Final. All is not lost for Britain’s gymnastics star at these championships. Tweddle is currently (after subdivision 4) ranked third on Floor and likely to qualify for this Final.
